I worked here 10 years ago and the management/owner change has left it ALMOST identical. We had great service again today. Just went in to buy a chip and salsa to go, a fav to have at home as a snack, when posole was the special so we had a bite to eat AND got some chips to go. I have a lot of experience eating out at restaurants, so I have a taste for what food is good and what isn 't. I am also Hispanic/Latina myself, so I know how to prepare authentic Mexican food, as well as I, know what it should taste and look like. Let's just get this out of the way up frontThis is very non-authentic Mexican-ish food catering to the predominant population.
The service was fantasticMy partner and I both had iced tea which I was never able to drink to below half because our server kept filling.
I have always loved this place, but tonights chile relleno was terrible An omelete with what appeared to be canned chilis.
The Taco salads are fantastic and the prizes cannot be beaten. you have to eat there!
The best in the west. no place we've ever been is as good as la casita! the food is wonderful and the owner is in the right place to welcome us and check us during the meal. we love the cattle enchiladas and their guacamole is perfect.
