I went in to order the drinks, and it's an interesting and historical pub, worth a visit.

With such an amazing location (only a few meters from kew garden’s elizabeth gate) we expected that eating the usual price for tourist, but all the dishes we or... read more With such an amazing location (only a few meters from kew garden’s elizabeth gate) we expected that eating the usual price for tourist, but all the dishes we ordered were really extraordinary! that included the meal of my man who is a celiac. He...has made an exceptional hand burger in a rustic, gluten-free roll with gluten-free three-fold boiled chips. he said the chips were the best he ever had in a restaurant or pub. I had a trio of pub snacks and I must say that the Scotch egg was the best thing I ever had with a beautiful soft egg. my son had the fish and chips. the fish was cooked in a really crispy teig to perfection. the pub itself is beautiful with a really cozy interieur in winter. I would say, however, that it is the service that really makes this pub: the young woman who served us was so welcoming and attentive. she really made our meal a special experience. the next time we are in kew, which will unfortunately not be until the early year, we will return definitiw! we could not recommend this pub anymore. I went to this restaurant with a friend after a long time since our last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was even better than I remembered... read more I went to this restaurant with a friend after a long time since our last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was even better than I remembered! It was a quiet lunch time, and it felt like the place was reserved just for us as we were seated upstairs with only two other tables being served. Although the food took a bit of time to arrive, the service and quality were well worth the wait. I had the Puerto Spritz and fish & chips, both of which were delicious. I regret not remembering our waitress's name, but the manager clearly valued her hard work, so I hope she receives the recognition she deserves.
