They had karaoke and the overall place had a nice vibe. The staff were very nice and attentive. The food was good but nothing very special. They also have Indonesian food if you want to try. Good prices and normal sized portions. View all feedback.
What Tim C doesn't like about Rice Noodle:
This is a moms and pops specializing in Thai and Indonesian foods. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. It was pretty average. The pepper steak beef, was a no go. The beef was over cooked. The pepper sauce was diluted. The nasi bungkus was very interesting. It had a lot different textures and flavors. The chili was a nice bonus!! The meats were tender. This was my first time and it was delicious and authentic Indonesian food. I’d highly recommend the Mie Goreng (fried noodles), fried chicken, Sate Ayam and Nasi Kuning (yellow rice plate). The portions were generous and the service was very kind.
I'd love to support this mom and pop restaurant which serves descent Thai dishes. We came on a Wednesday night and the shopping center was pretty dark. The lack of patrons in the restaurant made me cautious, but we've been meaning to try this place out for a while. They looked a little surprised when we wanted to dine in instead of takeout so I'm assuming they mainly get takeout orders. There were a few pick ups as we waited for our meal. We ordered the Pad Thai noodles (my son's go-to) and the Tom yum noodle soup. The Pad Thai had the right amount of tamarind flavor and chew to the noodles. We opted for shrimp and there were a good 5 pieces. The Tom Yum soup itself did not taste authentic. It tasted like Tom yum, but the paste version and not a broth made from scratch. This dish was just ok, but it hit the spot when I was craving something warm and soupy.
Ordered a nasi bungkus and rendang to go. The food tasted fantastic. HOWEVER, I was charged $36.53 for two items, one of which is the attached photo of the beef rendang. (Looks to be a 16oz container, so this would be about 1¼ cups of food. I should have specified that I wanted the NASI rendang per their menu as rendang by itself is not listed. Is 3 pieces of beef really the current inflation price? (P.S. If you order online through a food delivery service, they are priced at $15.95 (nasi bungkus and $14.95 (nasi rendang . By comparison, I was charged $16.95 per item. The service was so so. The restaurant was empty, so two of the employees were on their phones. The lady became less engaging when I didn't include tip. (This was pick-up after all. I know this was a lengthy review, so thanks for reading. Bottom line, the food tasted great, but I will not be coming back.
