What Vania Gallo doesn't like about La Torre Di Lavello:
When we reserved a table the night before the staff (and perhaps the owner) were not really nice. We thought it was due to the crowded place. The next day there was only one other table except us. Our waiter was really pissed and didn’t really care when we asked here to order. The food was and the location were actually really nice but the waiters ruined the food for us. Really disappointed! Tuscania is a beautiful city and a lunch on the upper terrace of this lovely restaurant completed our morning. The interior space is also beautiful and would be as nice a setting for a meal in the winter. My wife and I only had a secondo and contorni with a glass of the house wine and the lunch was entirely superb. The service was attentive and charming.
We had dinner here on recommendation from relatives. I had friggitelli stuffed with cod and spaghetti with olives, capers, cherry tomatoes and cod cubes. Both were quite good although I would have used a thinner pasta instead of spaghetti. My wife had a tartare and grilled filet. A cup of strawberries and a bottle of white wine completed the meal. The food was good and the staff friendly and efficient. The price felt slightly too high, but not disproportionate compared to the qyality
We have been visiting for over twenty years and on our latest visit discovered a real return to form with a great menu and excellently presented food. Staff were great and the pizza chef, a veteran, is making things tick. Lovely views and ambience.

Although we only had pizzas we saw some delicious looking mains going out to other customers such as pasta and steak and it all looked very tempting. Service and housekeeping was excellent, pizza were Eur 5, house wine was Eur 8 for a litre making this a very good value and high quality food destination.
