If you prefer you... read more First time in Alabama first time here. The Wayside had a rustic, homey feeling. The coffee was good, service outstanding, biscuits phenomenal. If you prefer your scrambled eggs cooked all the way through say so up front. Mine were under done. Grits were the best I ever had, but I have only had the 3 times so far. We had the plantation sausage. My fiance loved it, and I not so much. I'm from Wisconsin so they reminded me of brats, but with more flavor. Very filling and satisfying experience. Now, on to Muscle Shoals!

He hadn't... read more Went the Waysider for my first time. My Brother lives in Tuscaloosa and has been going there for years. He knows the owners, family and servers there. He hadn't been there in a couple of years due to health issues. Everyone remembered him and were soglad to see him. He introduced me to everyone. We had the best breakfast that morning. He had pancakes and sausage. I hadcountry ham, red eye gravy, biscuits, eggs and grits. Oh my goodness it was delicious! We told them we were coming back laterfor lunch, and we did. It was SO awesome! Best fried pork chops and creamed corn ever. So worth it. I will be back. Thank youladies.

Great service. Interestingconversation between guests. Definitely a family owned operation. 15 tables, probably seats less than 50. So remember.. getthere as early as you can! It?s worth it.
