The first time we're here today. great food! great service! friendly staff! my only complicity would be that I felt the prices were a bit high. however, good quality comes at a price. home cogen were! will definitely be back to try some other menu items!
An institution in Tuscaloosa! Enjoy fresh, flavorful and souther style breakfast. Fluffy biscuits and rich ham!
First time in Alabama first time here. The Wayside had a rustic, homey feeling. The coffee was good, service outstanding, biscuits phenomenal. If you prefer your scrambled eggs cooked all the way through say so up front. Mine were under done. Grits were the best I ever had, but I have only had the 3 times so far. We had the plantation sausage. My fiance loved it, and I not so much. I'm from Wisconsin so they reminded me of brats, but with more flavor. Very filling and satisfying experience. Now, on to Muscle Shoals!
Get there early! It?s great! Haven?t been there in years. Biscuits, light and fluffy! Eggs perfectly cooked. The grits definitely a southern delicacy. The wife got the short stack and couldn?t finish it! Great food. Great service. Interestingconversation between guests. Definitely a family owned operation. 15 tables, probably seats less than 50. So remember.. getthere as early as you can! It?s worth it.
The was the 2nd time in 2 years eating here. The first time I'd give it 4.5 stars, 5 would be a stretch. This time the 4 stars is a stretch. Everything was good except the sausage gravy for the biscuits. It was not much more that water and had verydefinitive pockets of flour floating around, as if it had barely been mixed. Anyone who cooks knows what I'm talking about andI was surprised the cooking staff nor the waitress noticed because it was very obvious. All the rest of our food was very good. Service was good. The environment and even the patrons is classic. The place looks like it's about to fall in but that's partof the flair.
