Heritage House North River - Tuscaloosa

Heritage House North is a fantastic spot! My husband treated me to a late birthday breakfast, and the strawberry shortcake with cream was so delicious, it rivaled any cake! They serve breakfast all day, and my husband enjoyed French toast made with their homemade cinnamon bread. The portions were generous, and we even had to take a small box of leftovers home. This charming two-story café is open for lunch and even dinner on certain nights. They don’t open daily, so it’s a good idea to check their website or Facebook page. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

This restaurant has a stunning atmosphere that is both beautiful and clean. The food is excellent. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and the meals I had. I tried both dinner and breakfast, and I liked both!

We made a reservation through Open Table for 7:00 PM and arrived a few minutes early, only to find that Heritage House was closed for a private event. This shows a lack of planning and management. It's clear they were aware of the issue since they checked me in as a dining guest, and now I've received their review email. So, here’s my feedback: zero stars. I can't believe anyone would consider this acceptable. Apparently, Heritage House does. Apologies for wanting to give this restaurant a try.

Same great breakfast and lunch offerings as their other locations, but love the cute vibe of this place. The real game changer is their evening menu with small plates and cocktails. If you haven't tried it, you must! Everything was outstanding. Only small suggestion I might have is to consider allowing ordering of additional items from the table, after the initial order from the counter (rather than having to return to the counter every time).

Always good food, great people working there, and the coffees are amazing, ok price as well.
