Fantastic soup! I visit this place exclusively for the soup; the menu may be limited, but everything I've tried is usually excellent. The Hungarian mushroom soup is outstanding! The restaurant is quite small and can get pretty chilly inside—turn up the heat! It's worth the drive, but make sure to bring a sweater!
Councillor G. Pfeil. I visited for breakfast yesterday. As usual, the service was friendly and the atmosphere felt like home. I had the omelette, which was delicious. Was I surprised? Not at all; meals at the Corner House Cafe always meet my expectations.
This charming little place near Millarville, just west of Calgary, offers delicious food. The sticky toffee pudding is absolutely amazing. Don't just take my word for it—give it a try yourself!
New Owners at the Cafe. The new owners of the cafe have updated the interior and the menu and it now has great home cooked food. Excellent soups, main courses, specials and delicious desserts. At the turnoff on Hwy. 22 to the Millarville Market. Tuesday to Friday 7-3, Saturday 8-3.

But it’s also about being in this cozy, old house at a table right next to the open kitchen. There, four women are peeling potatoes, manually grating carrots for soup and fixing breakfasts, while chatting amongst themselves and with the regulars. The short menu features omelettes and Highway Crossing oatmeal at breakfast—chased by Fratello coffee or lattes—and scratch-made chile, sandwiches and quesadillas at lunch.
