What User doesn't like about Komppeli:
Great food! The food wasn't too expensive and it tasted great and it had a nice unique touch. There were vegan options available. However, it seemed a little weird that after ordering two vegan meals we were served cheesebread as an appetizer, but I guess it could have been a mistake. Drinks were normally priced. Location is good. View all feedback.
Every time I travel to Turku, I make sure to visit Komppeli. Their Vegan Schnitzel dish, made from wheat protein (seitan), is absolutely delicious. In fact, it is one of the best seitan dishes I have ever had, rivaling only the one I tried in München.
This restaurant may be easy to overlook, but don't make that mistake! While it may not be extravagant and the menu is limited, the atmosphere is cozy and charming. The food and service are top-notch, with the added bonus of a pleasant ordering and payment experience at the counter.
Very good food and large dishes for 11eur per dish. We liked it and recommend. You will have a selection of 6 daily dishes to choose between. A small soup and white bread, also cold water is served as complementary extra.
Finally made it to the restaurant. Gamba piri piri is our favorite. Make sure to mop up the garlic chili oil with bread : I liked beetroot falafel, too. Service was quick and friendly. We will come back!
On our way to the port, we stopped here for lunch. The interior is quite small but luckily there were not many people as we were quite late for lunchtime. The food was tasty. It had excellent value for money.
