I had the chef salad special and my wife had the NY strip steak special with fried Brussel Sprouts. We also had the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer. Everything was delicious. View all feedback.
What Ben doesn't like about Turbotville Public House:
The staff is extremely friendly, the wait times are a little slow, the food is pretty average, and a tad expensive although the portions are pretty large. More of a place to go sit on the patio, especially if you don’t want to drive somewhere else. The inside is very dark, whatever, but kind of weird. View all feedback.
They're racist and it took 39 minutes to seat us the food took hour and a half and they called me the n word

Food was excellent. The tots are house made and excellent, never had anything even close.. all the wing sauces made in house...nice very nice.
After reading all the good reviews, I figured it would be a nice 2 hour ride to get some great food. Thank god the weather was the best day of the year bc the food fell way short. First, I started with the broiled crab stuffed shrimp. You get 2 for $13. I wouldn't mind only 2 if they used Jumbo shrimp. The one had barely any shrimp at all and the other was better but at best a large shrimp that was fileted very thin. They were good but they should come with tarter sauce, not cocktail sauce and any chef worth anything should know that. Now onto the main course. I got the Wet Aged CAB Delmonico 14oz. I have no problem paying $49 for a steak. I pay $120 every year for filet and lobster tail when I go to Steak on the Main in Northeast, MD so money isn't an issue. But it if I'm paying $49, especially in Turbotville of all places, it better be a great steak. And as it turned out, it wasn't. It had absolutely no taste at all. It wasn't seasoned at all, had no great sear taste, and even after adding salt several times it just didn't help. I got it with the loaded baked potato. This is where I knew things were bad. If you can't even get a potato right there's a real problem. The melted cheese was cold and hard as if the potato was made then left to sit on the counter for 15 minutes. The potato was also cold inside along with the bacon pieces which were not even cooked bacon. All in all, a very disappointing experience. However, I will try it a second time as I always give places 2 chances and being a big food critic on social media, I want places like this to be great and succeed for many years. They just missed the mark terribly. Thank you for your response. I would like to come back a second time. But it seems you put a little dig in your response back to me about all my reviews being under 2 stars which is not true as I just gave the Little Brown Barrel 3 stars. Also, I only recently started doing reviews on google. If you look at my google reviews I believe I only reviewed 3 restaurants total which includes yours. I normally do my reviews on Yelp and if you look on there, I give places 4-5 star reviews but now I do both Yelp and Google. I been cooking since I was 5 years old and I cook every single day of my life. About 10 years ago I started cooking only fresh food and no longer cook frozen food bc the difference is night and day. I'm sorry for the bad review but I think I'm pretty spot on with my reviews as I have gotten tons of responses from people saying they looked at my reviews before going and I was right on after they went to the same place.
Delicious food and very nice staff. The old appearance of a hotel was really cool. Very amazing
