Wonderful place! The staff is incredibly attentive and always smiling. We tried the Romies Burger, and wow, what a massive burger! It features a double patty nestled in a delicious bun, accompanied by very fresh tomatoes, salad, onions, and a side of pickles. The French fries were equally delicious. I love romie’s food but they have a serious problem with getting “to-go” orders correct. I’m a frequent customer and usually give a lot of grace because I used to work in the restaurant business serving tables… This is my 4th time to order to go food and receive the wrong items/order… management always makes it right but after so many consecutive mess ups- you would think they would buckle down and try to do better.... It features a double patty nestled in a delicious bun, accompanied by very fresh tomatoes, salad, onions, and a side of pickles. The French fries were equally delicious. Without a doubt, this place deserves 5+ stars. The atmosphere is enhanced by great music, and they have live bands playing on Saturdays, which we definitely plan to experience again. They offer a different dinner menu each day, and judging by the appearance of the lunch plates, it looks just as good, if not better, than the burger. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions we received.
Great home-style cooking! I had one of the daily lunch specials: roasted chicken. I opted for the white meat chicken breast, but dark meat leg and thigh were also available. It came with potatoes and a tomato cake, plus a roll. My son had the kids' cheeseburger with French fries. The portion sizes were generous, and we ended up taking home a to-go box with enough for another meal. Our waitress was attentive, the restaurant was clean, and we received prompt service. The tea was excellent too, served in to-go cups for easy refills while on the go. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience, and the honey mustard was also outstanding!
Drove 12 hours today. He was starved at 9:00. Had no expectations, but was so surprised to find this jewel. Not only a cool place with live music on a Saturday night. These were the hands down the best puppies, hush puppies and fries green tomatoes I've ever had. The service, even if it was a Kurbic way, was phenomenal. I can't wait until we get home!
I've been to tupelo several times the last three years and have never experienced the service or the quality of food. I was amazed it was delicious. I'll be back everytime.
Went for lunch, while visiting from out of state. The fried green tomatoes are amazing! Fantastic and huge fried chicken salad, too.
