Newk's Eatery - Tupelo

This is a fantastic restaurant with delicious food and generally attentive staff. The only downside is that they closed early without updating their operating hours. I recommend calling ahead to confirm they're open before you visit.

I really enjoy the salads and chicken salad sandwiches at Newk's! However, this is the second time I've encountered an issue at the Tupelo location. I've seen a fresh cake on display, but when I asked for a piece, I received one from the back of the refrigerator instead. I won't be ordering cake again!

I don't understand the appeal of this restaurant. My husband's sandwich was tough, and he couldn't even eat the bread. My BBQ chicken pizza was just okay. After spending $34, we still left feeling hungry.

Been to several Newks restaurants in different places, and they are always great. This is no exception. The food was delicious and without much to wait. The staff was helpful. In any case, we will visit again when we are in town.

It's easy to spend a lot of money if you want a meal and a fountain drink or tea, but it is good, so we make it a special treat destination. Today I had the pick 2 combo of the pesto chicken sandwich and a Greek salad. Delicious! My kiddo had the sausage and pepperoni pizza (adult-sized because the kids size is tiny) and she liked it ok. She said next time she will get plain cheese because the sausage has lots of fennel seeds. The staff is friendly at the register, and even with Covid precautions, you can still ask for the extras that used to be out for the public (ex: croutons, jalapeños, sweet pickles, garlic). The tea is wonderful! *The prices have increased on some menu items and the menu has changed a little recently. Today I had the soup and salad combo (tomato soup and caesar salad) and my daughter had the pepperoni pizza. We were both pleased and full. They have discontinued carrying the bread and butter pickles and we didn't see the garlic, either, so we were sad of that.
