we had a fine lunch at bodegas salentein's killka restaurant. the food and presentation were only outdone by the physical space of the restaurant facility. the space has an open, airy feel with walls of tinted windows overlooking the vineyards. our hostess ivy reynoso was pleasant and knowledgeable about the property and even helped us select the right wine to bring back to new york.we found the art space really quit... What User doesn't like about Restaurante Killka de Bodegas Salentein:
This was our second visit at Killka, the first time the food and the wine pairing were great, this time around I'm unsure what happened, but I was pretty disappointed about the food and the wine options. Not that it was bad, but I felt the place is over rated. The service is still nice and very attentive. View all feedback.
Matias of vitis the arranged an asada weinberg lunch, but not enough other customers, salentein, canceled. matias was very annoyed, but the cook came to apologize and offered us a kitchen prepared to serve asada. it was too hot out anyway. we agreed to enjoy in their AC restaurant with a view of the weinberge and others from their ceiling/floor windows at midday. delicious food and wine (salentein is a favorite) the outstanding thing was her dulce de leche lava cake wow!
The 5-course menu is great and comes with a lot of wine. I therefore propose to skip the tasting because it is expensive.
We were in posada salentein. we ate at the killka a few times. the location is quiet, peaceful in the weinbergs. food is good. overall highly recommended.
The saleable weinberge and buildings are simply beautiful and this restaurant also not disappointed! we had the empanadas tasting as starter and it was just raised! then followed two beautifully cooked steaks with equally delicious sides/cooks. what a beautiful meal. I wish we could have come back a few more times during our trip. Oh, and the wee is just beautiful.
We had lunch and the went to visit the Wine Cellar. The Visit was about 45 min long, with a final 3 wine degustation at the end. The host was nice, basic English skills but made it through.
