Incredible Italian dishes at an affordable price. The food quality is exceptional, the customer service is unbeatable, and the atmosphere is wonderful. This downtown Tunkhannock restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind! I can't wait to go back!
After much consideration, I have decided to share my dining experience at this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant one. About a year ago, I visited with my mother in hopes of enjoying an authentic Italian meal. We were seated by the window, which was a nice touch, but we noticed bugs on the sill and table edge and the wet linen smelled strongly of bleach. We ordered Fettucine Alfredo with salads. My salad arrived as a small bowl with just a piece of lettuce and one cucumber slice. My mother had to ask for her salad multiple times and only received it after her meal. The bread was frozen in the middle and the Alfredo sauce was watery with no flavor on undercooked pasta. The dessert was a half scoop of Neapolitan ice cream that was freezer burned and covered in ice. Despite the disappointing meal, we paid and left politely. It was a comically bad experience, yet also sad as we enjoy supporting local businesses and love Italian cuisine. We have not returned since and were puzzled by the positive reviews displayed on the wall next to our table. We had hoped for a great or at least satisfactory dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations.
This was my first visit to this restaurant while I was traveling. The interior is beautifully decorated, and I was welcomed by the owner, who was extremely friendly. He and his wife are the only staff, and they run everything, making me feel like I was dining at their home. They constantly checked in to see how everything was and the food was absolutely delicious! The portions were more than generous, and the menu offered a variety of authentic Italian options at a great price.
This restaurant offers genuine Italian home-cooked meals prepared by the owner chef, his wife, and their family. It is a hidden gem in a delightful town. You will be treated like family here.
My recent dining experience at this restaurant was excellent. We had an early dinner before it got too busy. The owners, Jack and Betty, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Our appetizers of asparagus, meatball, mozzarella, and tomato were delicious. For our main dishes, we enjoyed Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm, Ravioli with Spinach, and I personally had the seafood fra diavolo. To finish off the meal, we all savored cannolis for dessert. The atmosphere of this family-owned local establishment was charming, and we will definitely be returning in the future.
