The entire Great Medina of Tunis is full of tea houses where you can take a break from all the shopping and enjoy a delicious mint tea and a sweet Tunisian pastry. Although very geared towards tourists, these tea houses are carefully maintained down to the last detail. I can't say that you will feel calm and at home in them because they are always full of people and bustling, and they are not exactly peaceful. But they are a perfect place to relax for a while while chatting about your purchases. Be careful with the prices! They can go up a lot in high season, or they may even try to rip you off. Before ordering anything, it is best to ask for the menu and even negotiate the prices a little.
The bustling medina of Great Tuning is a vibrant place to take a break from shopping and enjoy a delicious tea with mint and a sweet Tunisian pastry. While geared towards tourists, the teahouses are meticulously maintained. The atmosphere is lively and not exactly peaceful, but it's an ideal spot to unwind for a bit. Be cautious of prices, especially during peak season, and don't hesitate to negotiate before ordering.
