Very expensive. Like 30 euros for 7 tea and 1 strawberry drink. Absurd. Take your picture 50 meters further en drink your tea 5 minutes away for 2 dinar : .
It attracts many visitors looking to enjoy the beauty of the locale while learning about the local culture. Along the main street that leads to the famous Café des Nattes, you’ll find numerous craft shops, although prices can be a bit higher than in other parts of Tunisia. The cafés are also more expensive due to the town's popularity with tourists, but it’s well worth a stroll through this picturesque village. The views of the Gulf of Tunis are stunning, and it's a delightful spot to sit down, sip on a drink, and relax for a while. It’s definitely one of my favorite places in Tunisia, especially after a busy morning visiting the Bardo Museum, exploring the bustling Medina of Tunis, or discovering the ruins of Carthage—especially during the sweltering summer heat. Don’t miss the chance to visit Sidi Bou Said!
At Café des Nattes, also known as Kahoua El Alias, you'll find the perfect spot to sit and watch the vibrant market life unfolding right at your feet. If sitting outdoors isn’t your preference, you can choose to go inside and make yourself comfortable on the traditional carpets. While it may not have the lowest prices in Tunisia, they are quite reasonable for any European. What's my recommendation?
