Golden Chicken Tumut

Excellent eating. great service. oopah. often go there. never despised. fresh food quality. Greek restaurant. always good.

Purchased 1/4 chicken and medium chips. Chicken was clearly overcooked and had been sitting for a while as it was dried out. It wasn't tasteless but the taste wasn't good. Not the charcoal chicken taste I was expecting. Chips were oily. They were crisp because...there was little of the fluffy potato I had hoped for and the crunch extended right through the entire chip with an oily taste. The service wasnt friendly and in hindsight it would have been more economical for me to have purchased the 1/4 chicken and chips instead of as separate items but didn't see that until after I had paid and lady serving me didn't politely suggest it, a quality of good customer service. I'm a local to Tumut and I will never recommend this place nor ever return. This was the 2nd disappointing meal in a row from this place. Giving them another go was a mistake.

A hamburger with the lot should be what it says, having to peel the paper off it and then finding a hair in my beef patty topped it all off. Chicken drumstick was the size of my thumb and the chips were dry cutoffs. Way...overpriced. Never again.

I have been here twice ....the first time wasn’t good -the potato scallops were over fried and 2 of these with a hamburger , chips and drink were over $20 2nd time ..thinking I would give it another go ..I opted for just crumbed fish...and chips ...again over cooked to the point where the crumb was scorched and the fish so tough it was inedible Not going for 3rd time lucky

The best take in the old one! the chicken was delicious, the fish and the chips was a good as everywhere on the world. but the best for me was the chips and Gravy...sublime! the engraving had a wonderful pfeffer taste and not excessively salty. well done and...revised.
