The outside seating overlooks the street, which... read more GILLY'S is the best place to eat. Not expensive, the food is great! And the margaritas are fabulous! Very cozy. The outside seating overlooks the street, which allows you to take in the local culture. Service was prompt, and food was hot. It's one of my favorite spots I visited. And I visited it several times during the week I was there.

They have a full bar and lots of good beers that are all priced reasonably. The staff is very friendly and I believe family related. It was...suggested that we try the lightly battered fish which I did and it was excellent. It came with perfectly cooked vegetables, rice, and black beans. Let me say it again all was cooked just right. My wife had the garlic and butter shrimp and that two was excellent also with those perfectly cooked vegetables and rice. This was a great find and a delightful place to eat.

Prices are reasonable at this nice upstairs restaurant. While I waited for the food I spoke with a really nice man behind the bar who I assume is the owner. We talked about tequila, he gave me two tasters of two of his good tequilas, and he told me about a distillery in Valladolid that we will now visit. Definitely recommend this place.
