We tried... read more Pizza Papi (who cohabitates with Matcha Mama and Coco Mama, apparently friends with benefits) offers a generous menu of vegan pizzas, pastas, and more. We tried the Viva Verde, an excellent pizza with asparagus as the main topping and pesto as the base sauce. It seems they make their vegan cheese in house, and we prefer it that way. We also tried their garlic knots, which are served with your choice of several dipping sauces (we opted for the “marinara,” which turned out to be more of a mild tomato salsa). One of the benefits of the aforementioned cohabitation is that you can also order from the Matcha Mama or Coco Mama menu. We had a very good fresh coconut water, which is served in reusable glass jars. Service is cheerful and helpful, and both Spanish and English are spoken. There are also menus in both languages. Enjoy!

Non-vegans in the group didn’t seem to love it though and left some of their slices all their seitan pepperoni unfinished. We also got the garlic knots with ranch and they were incredible. The pizzas in order of ranking were probably margarita Italian supreme. The total came out to about $70 USD with tip. Overall this is good pizza and I’d go back for pizza in Tulum but I don’t think it lives up to some of the hype.

The service was friendly and quick and the spot is adorable and chill. We got a pizza and made it GF. Their GF crust was AMAZING not like the frozen gf crusts you usually get in the States, this was fresh and homemade and fluffy. We didn’t try anything but the pizza, but I have a feeling that everything else is incredible too.

Also vegan cheese had a strong coconut taste so it took over all other ingredients. I really liked caponata starter, sourdough bread was good. Service was lovely, but at the end we got a bill with 'suggested tip ' already included in final price. Cheeky, considering all places let you choose how much you want to tip.
