This is a nice Argentinean restaurant. The homemade bread is great. Prices are a little high for Mexico, but the food is worth it. We ate there 2 times. The first time we just shared appetizers. The empanadas are very good. The second time we went with friends and we had beef dinners which were great. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Colifata:
This place was very convenient, a few hundred yards from our condo in Aldea Zama. It doesn't open for dinner until so plan accordingly. I had a steak. It was OK, nothing special, not seasoned at all, but my rare steak was actually rare,...something not always true in other places. My wife ordered an empanada, and that's what she got ONE empanada. This is another little gem in the jungle, the staff where fantastic especially my "Bill" he took such good care of us and explained so much of the food the preparation of it and was interested in us and what brought us there. The food was delicious and so well presented. Thank you for the bottle of Preseco too. I would only say one thing "cushions for the chairs" as we sat enjoying the live music it gets a little tough on the bum.. can't wait to go back in December this year I hope Bill is still there.
As part time residents of Alden Zama we were happy to learn of La Colifata's opening. We had our first opportunity to visit last night and we were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted by the wait staff and after getting our drinks received the...fabulous complimentary bread, rolls and flavorful spreads and oils. We both had steaks, one rib eye and one steak Vacio served with grilled onions and potatoes. The crepes for dessert were the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. We will definitely return many times in the future.
It's secluded and off the beaten path but it's worth it. Really amazing steaks, cocktails, and specially good service. Not expensive at all. I'm really happy to have had dinner here.
What a happy find! Owners, Javier Maria are so welcoming. This is a delightful little spot. The food is fantastic- we loved the ravioles de espinaca. Ensalada Cesar con polo and ensalada de alcachofa are worth a second visit. Javier brought a special crepe...desert to our table that was stellar. During the evening they made every effort for us to have a wonderful experience.
