The reviews for Trula restaurant at the Mayo Hotel are a mixed bag. Some customers had negative experiences, citing rude staff and slow service, while others enjoyed the atmosphere and service. One customer mentioned issues with their food but praised the sweet potatoes. Overall, it seems Trula may not be the best choice for everyone, but it could be a good spot for a pre-concert meal or a relaxing dinner.

What Jamir Brown dislikes about Trula Restaurant:
Despicable. I 've visited the Mayo hotel for different events, and they were both terrible. The balding redheaded waiter wasn 't just rude, but obscene, and whenI informed the manager, he was a condescending ass who couldn 't care less about the restaurant or his job. Another time, I was attending a rooftop party when I ordered guiness. It was brought to me 2/3 full, and I was escorted out of the Mayo Hotel when I re... View all feedback.
We live downtown and always wanted to try this restaurant out. We went in for lunch around 1pm on a Friday with only a few patrons dining and a couple of waitresses. We were immediately greeted and had the pick of the restaurant for a table. Once seated our drink orders were taken and received promptly. The waitress informed us she would give us a minute to look over the menus. After ten minutes she had not come back to the table. She was in the vicinity and had time to greet some people in the bar, watch some TV (which was in our area), talk to the other waitress, and go in and out of the service area (with no food or drink). I didn't think we had to flag the waitress down like an ordinary diner. I left 2 dollars on the table for a tea we ordered and we walked out. To add insult to injury the other waitress informed us to have a nice day. My wife was so upset she went back in and took the 2 dollars off the table and looked directly at our waitress who was still casually talking to the other waitress. You can get better service at Denny's! We ended up at Sushi Place and received suburb service and food. It's better to eat at Prymes Steakhouse, Ti Amos's, Casa Laredo, etc. than this restaurant. Actually any restaurant in downtown is better than Trula's! It is a shame to have spent millions of dollars to renovate a jewel of a hotel and be tarnished by a subpar restaurant. The service was so lacking I can imagine what the food would have been. I am unable to recommend this restaurant since there are so many more options to choose from in downtown Tulsa.

Would never return and will be sure to tell anyone who asks to avoid this very pretentious venue.
That lunch. I just came back to eat with a customer and a coworker in trula. it took 20 minutes for an salad and two sandwiches to come to our table. the restaurant was not busy out of the far, I think we were one of three tables, so that an influx of shops could not be the case that eating slowly came out. our waitress seemed boring and maybe cold when she wore a wind jacket. my reuben was soggy and the flesh crisp (eek). my sweet potatoes were great. my coworker’s chop house salad was missing avocado and the salat was extremely confused and otherwise sad looking. our client hasn't complained about her club so I can't talk about it. I was really...read more
