The service was excellent as we came in the door. One of the waitstaff greeted us and showed us the menu. One thing I noticed right away was the fresh flowers on the tables. We had to wait a bit for our food, but it was well worth it. We will go back. I ordered the shrimp dinner. It was spicy, and my husband ordered the lamb gyro. Also, desserts! My one disappointment was that restrooms ? were each 1 seater.Parking: N... View all feedback.
What Rebecca Howe doesn't like about Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe 71st And Yale:
The food is mid $45 to eat for two people was to high for wilted lettuce- I really wanted to like this place, we drove 3 hours for okay food. Won’t be going back. View all feedback.
Unlike their neighboring business, Waldos, I have yet to be disappointed by this establishment. Food is delicious, I only gave four stars as their portion sizes are rather small and for the price I feel you should at least have enough for leftovers if you do so wish. I am usually filled, but my husband eats significantly more than I do, and we usually have to splurge in order for us to both eat there. The service is always great, very friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere is comfortable- seating not too crowded even on a busier day, and I love that there is a patio to enjoy our meal on. I have tried their chicken, salmon, and gyros and all are delicious and always well prepared. I will point out though that their competitors serve a larger gyro for a lower price point, being just as good. The company that owns and runs this establishment could consider setting lower price points- or offering larger portions at ALL of their chain restaurants (including Waldos chicken)
While the vegetarian dishes are somewhat limited, the veggie feast I had was Amazing ? ?
The grilled fish sandwich was pretty good. The caper dill tartar sauce was yummy. The fish had a nice crispy texture. It's tilapia in case anyone was wondering.
A nice healthy break from burgers, Mexican food and fried something.Taziki’s is chain restaurant fast food though, so don’t expect Taziki’s to win you away from your favorite local mom and pop Greek restaurant. The nice thing about Taziki’s is, that like McDonald’s it is fairly consistent from store to store. That can be a blessing when traveling, especially in the South/Mid-West states, where most of their restaurants are located. You know what to expect here in food quality, and dining experience. The last time I dined at a Taziki’s was in Conway, AR as we were returning home from somewhere. Like today it was a pleasant interruption from, as I said at the beginning of this review, burgers, Mexican food and fried something.Today, my wife and I both had the Greek Salad Bowls. Mine with Spicy Harissa Chicken and my wife had the Grilled Salmon. The chicken was moist, tender with a nice spicy sauce. The chicken had to have been marinated in yogurt, to be that good. The chicken was perfect! I liked the Harissa sauce. It was a good start for spiciness. I found a bottle of “Texas Pete” to give it a little more zip! The salmon on my wife’s salad was good. Likely Atlantic farm raised. The Greek salad under the meats was fair. It didn’t seem as fresh as I would have liked. The tomatoes on mine should have been relieved of their duty last Friday. A good Greek salad needs to be fresh, crisp and loaded. There were a couple of olives, one pepper, a few sprinkles of feta and a small cup of their franchise brand dressing. The service was friendly and efficient. Fast food type service; order at the counter and your food is delivered. Overall an enjoyable meal and yes, especially….. a break from burgers, Mexican food and fried something.
