McGill's restaurant has received mixed reviews from customers. While some have praised the excellent steak and seafood dishes, as well as the attentive service, others have had negative experiences with the management when it comes to hosting private functions. One customer was disappointed by the lack of integrity shown by the manager, who double-booked their private room and offered to relocate them to another location last minute. Another reviewer found the food to be hit and miss, with some dishes being delicious while others fell short. Overall, customer experiences at McGill's seem to vary depending on the order and occasion.

FYI Integrity is not on the menu at McGill's. Please pass the word. McGill's at 61st and Yale is now on my DONT USE LIST for a private function. We have a program scheduled there tomorrow night that was booked in January - with a signed contract! We called today to lock in our 12 RSVPs. Since signing our contract in January!, Amy, the manager, had double booked their private room with "one of their best customers". They want to "accommodate us" by relocating us to their downtown location. Really. Not exactly accommodating TO US. We are going to Mahogany instead. Caveat emptor!

Excellent steak and seafood! Went with a larger group for a work celebration and had a really enjoyable time. The group ordered mushroom caps, bruschetta and fried oysters to start! I had the petite filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and my boyfriend had the cowboy bone in ribeye special with roasted red potatoes. Everyone seemed to love their choices as well! Was only able to snag one photo since I didn't want to be rude! The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable plus very patient since we had members of our party who were late and then some who didn't show up.

Hit and miss. A group of coworkers and I went to lunch here, and the food was wonderful and acceptable depending on the dish. The portions were generous for the open faced prime rib sandwich, which was enormous, as well as the lobster pasta. However the prime rib was requested medium rare and was received medium and very grisly. On the other hand the cobb salad and the lobster pasta were both delicious. The service was not very good even though there were several waitstaff and the restaurant was nearly empty. Overall, it truly depended on the order for the quality of the meal.

I went to McGill's for my birthday. I had filet mignon, salad wedge, baked potato, fresh vegetables, and Creme Brule. The steak was very tender and larger than I expected. It was expensive, $35 for meal and $13 for salad wedge with blue cheese. I couldhave made the same meal at home. The atmosphere was nice though and the service was great!

We just visited for the first time celebrating our anniversary. The atmosphere was nice, service was great, and food was delicious but then here came 3 of the employees vacuuming the floor while we were still eating our dinner. I couldn’t believeit! It wasn’t even near closing time. We asked the manager about it and she gave us the excuse that it was there “closingduties”. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and know that customer service should always come first and that includeskeeping a nice ambiance for those who are paying to have a great experience at your establishment. Maybe they’ll take thissuggestion and apply it to make it nicer for the next person. But I kind of doubt it from the reaction we received.
