Ordered up the Full Nelson breakfast at Nelson's Buffeteria this morning...man was it good! Crispy bacon, perfect over easy eggs, tasty hasbrowns, and the fluffiest pancakes I have had in a long time! Definitely the best breakfast I've had in Tulsa or OKC! View all feedback.
What Kyng Mania doesn't like about Living Room:
Yuck. Our food was absolutely gross. Oklahoma get better standards. Asked for burrito and got an omelette, waitress takes it back to cook and then beings me back a tortilla literally just laid on top. The eggs literally tasted like grease. The French toast was burnt. My cinnamon roll was old and then zapped in a microwave. I realize you can't trust reviews in this state. As a chef. Do NOT GO HERE. You're better off a... View all feedback.
You'll find mouthwatering options like drippin' beef, chicken-fried steak, chicken-fried chicken, and Salisbury steak, all served with creamy gravy that tastes like your mama made it from scratch. The mashed potatoes are simply to die for! They also serve coleslaw, Granny's cabbage (I’ve seen her making it!), sweet corn, green beans with a hint of bacon, and fried okra that tastes as if it was just picked and tossed in the fryer! I'm sure I'm forgetting some veggies, but that's what we had or what I remember seeing. Make sure to ask for a roll—though honestly, you could ask for five and it wouldn't hurt! Everything is perfectly seasoned, not overly salty at all! Their sweet tea hits the spot too; it didn't bother my sugar levels one bit. Seriously, folks, YOU NEED TO EAT HERE! Make the drive; you'll thank me later! My dad would have absolutely loved this place! Oh, and I can't believe I almost forgot to mention the five talented musicians crammed into a small space playing gospel and swing music! If you can, toss a five-dollar bill in their tip jar!
This is my favorite spot for the best chicken fried steak in Tulsa. It can get quite busy, but the service is efficient, so you won’t have to wait long. The only drawback is their limited hours; they’re only open from 7 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday. On Fridays, they have live music, but it’s at a nice volume—not too loud.
I had the Full Nelson breakfast at Nelson's Buffeteria this morning, and it was amazing! The bacon was nice and crispy, the over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly, the hash browns were tasty, and the pancakes were the fluffiest I've enjoyed in ages. This is certainly the best breakfast I've had in Tulsa or Oklahoma City!
I had a really bad experience at this restaurant. The food was a big letdown. I ordered a burrito but was served an omelette instead. When I asked the waitress to fix it, she just brought back a tortilla on top of the omelette. The eggs were overly greasy, the French toast was burnt, and the cinnamon roll was stale and then microwaved. It's obvious that the reviews here can't be trusted. As a chef, I highly recommend avoiding this place—you're better off getting a meal at McDonald's.
The food is so delicious that I completely forgot to take a picture! The cuisine is exceptional, and they have live music every Friday. The service is fantastic too! I absolutely love this place!!!!
