It's a bit pricey, but there is a ton of food for the money. We tried 3 different meals, and all were excellent. The new York strip was cooked to perfection, the salmon was terrific, and the pork chops were superb. View all feedback.
Wonderful place, food is still the best. I have eaten here since 1962
DISCLAIMER: I'm honored to be a Top 10 Reviewer for Google. I do my best to be fair and honest but realize your experience may differ from mine. So, please keep that in mind when considering this restaurant, establishment, and/or venue. REVIEW: Jamils is not what it used to be in it's hay day. The relish dish with carrots, celery, etc., was very skimpy. I ordered the Shish kabob dinner and it came with green bell peppers and okra veggies not with tomato and onion. They said they were out of them. Although the meat was tasty, I was disappointed in the veggies. The past few times we've gone there over the past several years they are always out of something last time they were out of steak! It just isn't consistent anymore. All the food that we received at our table got good reviews from those eating it. The service was very good but there were only two other tables in the restaurant with customers. I remember when you used to have to stand in line to get a table there. Final note:. When they have the food you want and order, it's tasty. But don't be surprised if they substitute something they're out of without telling you first about the change.

Had a wonderful dinner. Jack was our server and did a fantastic job. The hors d'oeuvres were delicious. When we went, the bar was out of commission, so they said we were allowed to bring in our own beverages. It made for a very memorable night. Will return.
Today was our anniversary , jamils has always been our go to as it was my favorite restaurant and we have spent our anniversary here every year for the last 10 years . It will sadly be our last time as the food and ambience has gone down hill tremendously . I ordered a ribeye , I believe they gave me my husband's filet , my husband ordered a large filet . The steaks were overcooked , dry , burnt and chewy . Our baked potatoes were not quite done . The hummus was lumpy and not the creamy consistency , taste is still there but the consistency is wrong. The veggies were not cut as they used to be , the pita bread was cold and not lightly toasted . The rib was on point and the bologna was on point . The cabbage rolls were huge but something was missing in the flavor. They no longer have mixed drinks as I do not drink, that is fine but I'm sure others miss this as well. They no longer offer the salad with the wonderful dressing. The candles that used to light the tables have been replaced with dollar tree glasses and the tiny lights. There is a saying , if it ain't broke , don't fix it . Go back to the way jamils used to be . Good luck .
