However, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because there was only one server for the entire restaurant. That said, the server handled the situation exceptionally well.

We also enjoy the goat cheese mushroom bake. The service was incredible. The Nordic menu was varied and we look forward to returning to try more of their dishes.

The food is always fresh and homemade-tasting, and we hav... read more My husband and I have eaten at Freya several times, both for lunch and for dinner, often with friends. The food is always fresh and homemade-tasting, and we have always found the offerings delicious. For lunch the burger is great, and a “special” deal on Wednesdays. Other weekdays have other specials. The salads are tasty, especially the salad of the goddess and the roasted winter vegetables with maple and pecan. The pumpkin soup has a wonderful, complex flavor. Dinner entrees are wonderful and out of the ordinary. We have enjoyed the Swedish meatballs, smoked duck, short rib stew with pappardelle and the halibut. Our absolute favorite item? The gravlax, which is the best we have ever eaten. Elegant but low-key and casual ambiance, and attentive service, along with outstanding food make it one of our favorite dining choices.
