Foundations - Tulsa
Foundations
Description
An intimate dining experience with delicious food and excellent service, Foundations offers a diverse menu prepared by culinary students. The menu features standout dishes such as seared scallops, tempura flounder, ribeye, and lamb sausage-stuffed quail. Desserts like mango strawberry sorbet and goat cheese creme brule are also highlights. The extensive wine list is a plus, and the restaurant is a hidden gem in the city. While the quality of the food is consistently high, service can sometimes be lacking due to the rotating student staff. Overall, Foundations is a great spot for a special occasion or a budget-friendly meal.

My friend and I had lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. I will definitely be going back. I give food and service 5 stars.
Super fun! Really good food, pleasant and friendly service, menu changes up all the time. Window to the kitchen where you can see some lessons taking place also. Can't beat the prices either.
This is a restaurant that is part of a culinary school. Most of the time the food is decent, it's a little too fancy for me. I just want a regular salad not a raspberry vinaigrette with cranberries and almonds Etc. Every once in awhile though you can tellthat there's a new class in and the service will be poor or the food will not be as good.
Very special spot restaurant is an offshoot of Platt College and The Culinary students finish up their diploma or degree working in foundations. Friday's is a great time to visit as they have an all-you-can-eat buffet and it rotates on the type of Cuisineevery week. Like to visit there often
Had a terrific dinner? here. TL;DR: great place to eat. Food was terrific, staff was friendly and competent, and prices were very reasonable! Full: I did not know until I arrive that it was part of the culinary arts school. I was worried when j arrivedand no one was in the parking lot. I was surprised to find that I was the only one here, the entire meal, but it was delicious.Like a dinner where I rented out the whole restaurant, only wish my wife was with me! Since it's part of the school I askedabout if they like it when people come or if customers are viewed as a nusence, he said they like it when people come because itgives them a chance to practice and show off their skills. I had the Quinoa Crusted Trout and Avacado Caprese Salad and theywere both amazing. Also included bread. All for under $25! If you live in Tulsa or Broken Arrow you are missing out becausethis is a hidden gem. Take advantage of it while you can, who knows how long it will be here or at least be very peaceful andquiet. He said the only night they really get busy is Fridays. If you are a business professional, take a client here for lunch!
