I brought Raegan and Erin here back on May for our second visit.  Great meal!  I had the fried chicken last time.  This time I got the CFS, it was fried in a pan just like the chicken, and was fork tender and had wonderful flavor.  The gravy, outstanding.  Raegan got fried chicken, it was just as good as the last time I was here.  Erin got CFC, and it was wonderful as well, a thick piece of chicken that was tender an... I brought Raegan and Erin here back on 11 May 2015 for our second visit.  Great meal!  I had the fried chicken last time.  This time I got the CFS, it was fried in a pan just like the chicken, and was fork tender and had wonderful flavor.  The gravy, outstanding.  Raegan got fried chicken, it was just as good as the last time I was here.  Erin got CFC, and it was wonderful as well, a thick piece of chicken that was tender and juicy.I know, I know, fried foods are bad for you.  But they can be oh, so tasty.  And they are here.  Live a little!  :)Our check was $40.26.  Great stuff. billhensley.wordpress.com

Took a couple of coworkers here today as they had never been. We all had the chicken fried chicken and it seemed like every table in the house was ordering it as well. We did mix it up with our side items. I had the mac and cheese, which was good but tasted like a Velveeta cheese, which I do like. I also ordered the greens only to learn they had run out and we're just starting a new pot so I switched my order to try the cabbage instead. The chicken was great! Huge piece and hand breaded. I forgot how good the food was and it's not convenient to my work but will definitely make a point to go back soon.

Great Fried Chicken, Bad Side Dishes. The fried chicken was great. It was some of the best I've ever had. Excellent taste, great texture, and not greasy. The fried chicken is made from scratch for each order. So, there is a 20 to 25 minute wait if you want fried chicken. It's definitely worth the wait, but if you're in a hurry then be aware. Unfortunately, my sides were not as good. The green beans were obviously out of a can and were also too salty. My macaroni and cheese, which the waitress said was homemade, was soupy and tasted just like the cheap boxed stuff they serve at buffets. My dinner roll was basically a brown-n-serve roll. When you're eating at a place that advertises soul food and home cooking then you sort of expect garden fresh veggies, oven-baked macaroni and cheese, and fresh baked rolls. The sides were definitely disappointing. Perhaps I just ordered the two worst ones and the rest are superb. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, I liked it.

Wow! This is one of those hidden gems in the most unsuspecting place at an airport. I had the Liver and Onions, Blackeyed Peas, Yams and fried Potato?s. Everything was absolutely awesome and I sure wished I would had discovered this place a lotsooner. You gotta get out here and try Evelyn?s asap!
