Very healthy Mexican fare. Even if you don't have room for cookies, get some to go! You won't be sorry. ???? Service great, covered patio creates a feeling of ponderosa. Very good food.
No, no,and no. No, don't waste your money, don't think" well it looks cute and it's on brookside". This was laughable horrible. The review before was right, the classic queso and ol queso were not good. The chips were yuck. The mexican pizza was literally a tortilla shell, soft with un cooked toppings. This is classic **** food.
6:30pm on a Saturday. Small cafe with the majority of the seating on a patio. First experience: Original Queso and the Queso Ole are both poor. Tortilla chips were ok (pre salted). Chicken Quesadilla was wet with grease and mostly inedible. Grilled Chicken Fajitas were also quite greasy. The Cheese Enchilada was bad, the rice was under cooked and I wonder if the beans were from a can. The game was called before I had a chance to try the flour tortilla. Overhead two middle-aged groups repeat the phrase, "this is our favorite place." Questionable judgement. Perhaps early onset of Alzheimers.
The food has majorly gone downhill. It?s very disappointing because the location and staff are so great. Hopefully they can figure out there supply or whatever it may be, and get quality and flow or back on the menu.
This place could be called ?pre packaged Salt: the restaurant?. The salsa tasted like Mateo?s jarred salsa and they used movie theater nacho quality bags of tortilla chips. Guacamole wasn?t even mashed. Just chunks of avocado with big chunks of tomato. Queso tasted super stale but I could only eat a few bites because the salt content was burning my lips. My burrito was broiledon the plate too long that the bottom tortilla had burnt to the plate and was inedible. No big loss because the burrito itselfhad the flavorings of a solid attempt at recreating a frozen enchilada dinner. Also, very slow and sometimes very weird servicefrom the bus boys made for a very unpleasant dining experience. The salt amounts there are downright dangerous and you can find3 better Mexican restaurants just across the street.
