Nice place locals go to. Hidden back from the main street. Really nice selection of fresh and organic foods from local produce. The smoothies are really nice. One with pineapple and mango etc was very tasty. They have organic coffee as well, I wouldn't know the difference. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ripe Harvest Cafe:
Tucked away off the main one way street in a small mall alongside the jewellers on the main street. Caters for veggie vegan gluten free diets. Had the veggie bfast without the egg. Nicely presented. See photo. Service friendly and quick.Downside is alfresco area is right by the bulky aircon on the carpark opposite public toilets. Will go back and try the lunch option. View all feedback.
I had breakfast at this restaurant and ordered eggs with grilled tomatoes on toast. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and delicious. However, the toast was cheap and cooked in dripping on the griddle, which was not enjoyable. There was no choice of bread offered. The tomatoes were thin slices cooked in fat on the griddle, unlike the previous version which had two halves of a large tomato. I was disappointed, especially considering the premium prices that have been recently implemented. The coffee was decent, but the overall cost was over $23, while the average prices in the Cassowary Coast are around $15 to $17. I would not recommend this restaurant anymore and will not be returning until there is a change in ownership. The new staff also need training in customer service as they were very slow.
I visited this restaurant based on the positive reviews, but it was only good, not great. There weren't many choices in Tully. We sat outside in the courtyard, which was pleasant. The corn fritters were okay. The cakes we ordered were disappointing. The sticky date pudding was dry, and the caramel tart was overly sweet. The iced coffees were also very sweet. The staff weren't very friendly.
Ideal spot for a morning meal on a rainy day. I enjoyed a delicious combination of grilled banana, strawberries, yoghurt, and muesli. It was absolutely tasty! I complemented the meal with a double shot long black coffee that gave me a good jolt of energy.
If you're heading north or south dropping into Tully won't disappoint especially if you drop into Ripe for a meal or coffee. Delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly, quality staff. My husband reckoned that his mocha frappe was the best he's had in FNQ.
Fantastic service, breakfast and coffee on both days we ate and drank here...all the girls were cheerful and polite... will be back
