Was Anonym at Tullah Cottage a mag?
We spent a couple of hours at the Tullah Cottage Cafe waiting for a tow truck after our hire car broke down. It was a delightful, unexpected stop on a sunny afternoon, with great coffee prepared by Stuart who told us all about the attractions of the local area. There are outdoor tables to take in the view over the main street and surrounding mountains. Definitely worth a stop if travelling between Cradle Mt and Strah... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Tullah Cottage:
Stopped in Tullah for a coffee and saw the pink cottage so decided to give it a try. Took our keep cups to get coffee and was told by the person behind the counter that he wouldn’t put coffee in the keep cups because we...hadn’t bought the lids and he didn’t want the coffee spilt. Maybe he shouldn’t have such a high counter. After returning with the lids we bought our coffees. Coffee was average so shouldn’t have bot... View all feedback.

Tullah is one of those tiny Tassie towns easy to miss whilst driving through on the way to somewhere else. The Tullah Cottage is even easier to miss. Make a point of stopping for it, though. The owner works out of the tiniest room to produce fabulous coffee and provide snacks for the weary west-coast traveller. It's barely even a cafe - there's a few tables and chairs outside, and a couple on the verandah, but you don't really sit down for a meal. It's just a terrific spot to stretch the legs and see how someone's passion can create a special little spot. If heading south towards Queenstown, its on the left on a rise, bright pink. Don't blink.
Don't be afraid to stop at this tiny little cafe. Good fruit cake on offer. Friendly owner offering good travel advice.
We had a great time on a lovely sunny afternoon, enjoying delicious coffee and a tasty brownie. We also took the opportunity to relax and chat with the regulars at the restaurant.
