Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try any food, but the staff and owner were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even provided us with suggestions on where to find wine on a Sunday since they don't have a liquor license yet. We would definitely return to enjoy the full experience, especially the amazing art!

The room was so very spacious and beautifu... read more Makers Mark is a very special place. I stayed overnight in The Old Parsonage c 1795 which has been so well renovated. The room was so very spacious and beautifully appointed. It's one of the best sleeps I have had in a long time. The room was dark, the bed was so comfortable and the linen top quality. Also ate at the restaurant and the food was exceptional. It's on a gorgeous main road that takes you back in time and there are lots of interesting things to do in the area. A highly recommended experience. Tulbagh is quite a find and I would return.
