Someone mentioned the feeling of being in a family home, and that could not be more accurate. It feels like being in my neighbors kitchen while her mom made tamales while I was a little kid. You can even see them working in the kitchen! The place is tiny with not much seating, but they offer to-go. What John david Mulholland doesn't like about La Esquina Cafe:
I usually make my own breakfast burritos and was feeling lazy. I saw this place was near by, had great reviews and decided to give it a try. The breakfast burrito was pretty small for the price and there wasn’t much to it. Pretty basic and bland. View all feedback.

Please note that this place is CASH ONLY.My husband got the pork quesadilla, and I got the chicken quesadilla. They were both fantastic. Large enough to be satisfying but not so large that we ended up with leftovers. The quesadillas were messy tho! Don't think that you can eat them on the go. They were awesomely stringy and the meats were soaked in sauce.

What a nice, cozy little spot! The place looks gorgeous, it's very clean, the coffee is really good and the lady behind the counter was really kind and lovely. The decor makes you feel like you're in a small village in Mexico, it's adorable Don't give your money to starbucks, come here instead!
This spot I ran into trying to get out of the cold waiting for my ride. Delayed of course. So I bought a cup of hot coffee in which you get a free Concha Mexican sweet bread) and the place was cozy and the owner was so sweet. She kept on giving me refill on the coffee cause I'm new to washington and she was very understanding. My phone was about to die but she didn't have a c type charger, but everything was awesome. You should check out her tortas.
Such a cute cafe and the food is excellent!! Best quesadilla I've ever had in my life. Sadly I'm not in the area much but next time I am I'll be going back to La Esquina for sure!
