What K doesn't like about Zarraffa's Coffee Tugun:
Cold dysesthesia. It's a medical condition that cancer patients have. Every time I order my drink with less or no ice it seems to be the biggest problem. I always have to wait an hour before I can drink my order because for some reason the staff here just can't get their heads around me not wanting ice in my drink. Staff are always super polite and friendly. Coffee isn’t always tasty but it is made quick.
He went out back, and I overheard him getting reprimanded and being told it was “easy.” He returned and said, “Oh yup, I can refund you, but only in cash.” I replied, “Okay.” Then, they overlooked my drink order completely. When the girl behind the counter checked in, she asked if that was everything, and I reminded her I was still waiting for another drink. “What is it?” she inquired. I explained, and after some time, I finally received it. To my dismay, despite the earlier confusion about the ice cream, I ended up with ice cream in my drink that I didn't want. I told the girls at the counter, but Ben’s attitude took a turn for the worse. He huffed and sighed, offering a half-hearted “sorry,” clearly uninterested in resolving the issue. The supervisor wasn’t pleased either and reprimanded him once more. Overall, it was a disastrous experience, and the drink wasn’t particularly great either. I wouldn’t recommend having Ben interact with customers in the future.
Tugun Zarafas, I've had an unfortunate experience every time I order the smashed avocado or hummus. The toppings are always spread so thin that I can see the toast underneath! It feels quite stingy. If you're going to advertise hummus or avocado and charge for it, at least make sure there's a decent amount on the toast. I took one bite and ended up throwing it out—it was really disappointing.
