Chalet Tovel - Tuenno

This restaurant, that at first sight may seem a simple semi-snackbar place, is really the ideal spot to enjoy the lake and good food for friendly prices. We all has something different and is was without any exception tasty and perfectly prepared. Some good wines available too.

We have been here for a full meal 3x and snacks once or twice because we are in love with Lago di Tovel which you can walk around easily in an hour. But the food and desserts are very high quality at this restaurant and we really enjoy everything. Polenta is outstanding so is the kraut and we 've had a slow cooked deer stew which was the best I 've ever had "cervo in salmi). It is all uniformly wonderful. They have their own amaro, which is special worth leaving with a bottle which can be purchased, and now they even have their own gin which was very nice, appearing in a number of bespoke cocktails a rare thing in the Italian scene overall. As you approach the chalet, you won 't believe the view of the mountains behind this place is the full package. Make reservations and eat outside if you know the weather will be nice. You would mit expect such a nice and modern restaurant and hotel in such a remote area. Lake Tovel is a must see if you are in Trentino and the restaurant is as well worth a visit after a hike along the wonderful lake side trail.
