This Tucson restaurant is a hidden treasure for Ethiopian cuisine enthusiasts, offering a vibrant array of vegan options alongside mouthwatering meat dishes. Diners are welcomed by the enticing aromas of spices in a cozy, picturesque setting. While several reviews noted a lapse in quality control regarding vegetarian dishes, many praised the attentive and knowledgeable staff who provide stellar recommendations, such as turmeric-infused cabbage and spicy red lentils. The communal platter experience adds to the charm, making it a delightful adventure for food lovers. Overall, despite a few operational hiccups, the culinary delights here are worth the visit.

We decided to try a meat and vegetable platter along with an order of lamb. The dishes were incredibly delicious and full of flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The servers were friendly and provided excellent customer service.

I love Ethiopia eating after a friend in Ethiopia has brought me to a restaurant about 20 years ago. I discovered zemams during in tucson about 8 or 10 years ago and always try to stop for a meal when in the city. I prefer sharp, but for those who have no choice that are not sharp at all. it is authentic and delicious.

We have a veggie sampler, one of the courts they gave us had meat in it. my wife, who is a vegetarian, ate a few of them and has been throwing up since the afternoon. I've been a regular customer for 2 years and that was the first time I took her vegan friendliness to take someone who was vegetarian into the restaurant. I was wrong. they need a serious quality control. will recommend vegetarian to avoid the place.

Everything was great! I have eaten a lot of Ethiopian food, in Ethiopia and the Usa. It is a close rival. not over seasoned or salted, a real taste look.

This place is amazing! I've never tried Ethiopian food before, but I'm stuck. I recommend this place definitiw. I would suggest sharing two rehearsals to try several things. they are huge! the spice of eating was incredible. try it!
