I couldn't resist stopping by this local fast food favorite. The nostalgic exterior and the hot, fresh food were the perfect remedy for my hunger after driving down from Phoenix. View all feedback.
What Laurie G doesn't like about Lucky Wishbone:
Two of us visited, and while we're not food enthusiasts, we really enjoyed our meal. The chicken was excellent—large, flavorful pieces. The shrimp and fries were just as good as we remembered. The steak fingers were tasty too, just a bit smaller than we expected (not a big surprise). The staff was friendly and efficient. It’s been a while since we lived here, as we're now in Phoenix, but it felt like a slice of Tucso... View all feedback.
UPDATE......Decided the other day to give them another shot. BIG MISTAKE......My GF and I were trying to place an order on fri or Saturday and the kid taking the order was extremely rude. We wanted a family sized half chicken finger half shrimp. He repeated it back to me saying steak fingers. I said no,half chicken fingers half shrimp. He said ok,all steak fingers? ? At this point I'm getting aggravated. He finally said ok,half chicken fingers ,half shrimp. I said yes! Thank u! Then he says and one family size steak fingers? I said NOOOOO! I never even mentioned a steak finger. Ever. I dont like those. Finally I just hung up. Decided to call back and try again because we really wanted your food. I called back and asked for a manager. Was told manager was on vacation for 2 weeks. I explained the confusion and asked for a discount. I was laughed at and told that's not possible. That only aggravated me more. Needless to say,we aren't happy and are very disappointed. We are loyal customers of 20 yrs and never imagined we'd be so embarrassed and treated so rudely. The last 2 times I've been disappointed, and I've been here at least 30 times in the past 15 years. The toast has been burned, and the fries portion has drastically dropped in the Family size option. I let it go and figured it was a mistake. I went again today and got the pop size chicken finger meal. Fries were soggy, toast was burned, and the chicken had no taste. I had to add salt and paprika. Sadly I may not be going back. FEB 2022....tried again and was pleased. The chicken fingers were great no soggy fries and no burnt toast. We got the family size and had zero complaints. The owner reached out to me about my previous negative reviews and wasn't happy. But I have an opinion and I'll voice it. Just like now I can see the improvements he's made and I will be going back for more ??
This is the best Lucky wishbone I have been too! Even though they were about to close on New Years eve the whole staff was polite and encouraged me to still order!! You don't see this kind of service in restaurants that often any more it's 2 guys and a girl and the kindness and professionalism they should blows me away!! I honestly hope the boss appreciate his closing staff of 12/31/21! You have some seriously AWESOME employees here!!!
Always tops!!! My late father loved their cheeseburger on garlic toast. As well as their fried chicken. I remember my young years going with Daddy. With a happy face!!! When I go now as I'm older. I can't hold back my tears! Thinking of my Daddy!! Thanks Lucky Wishbone for the bittersweet memories!!?
Awesome place after many years. The food is great and takes me back to my childhood eating here. Great job on keeping this brand alive .
I really wanted to give them another chance, so I called back and asked to speak with a manager, only to be told that the manager was on vacation for two weeks. I explained the confusion and asked for a discount, but instead, I was laughed at and told that wasn't possible. This only made me angrier. As loyal customers for 20 years, we were very disappointed and embarrassed by this experience. In my last two visits, we were let down, despite having dined here at least 30 times over the past 15 years. The toast was burned, and the portion of fries in the family size option has significantly decreased. I brushed it off as a mistake, but when I went again more recently for the pop-size chicken finger meal, I was disappointed again. The fries were soggy, the toast was burned, and the chicken lacked flavor—I ended up having to add salt and paprika. Sadly, I thought I might not return. However, in February 2022, I decided to give it another try and was pleased with the results. The chicken fingers were great, there were no soggy fries, and the toast was perfect. We ordered the family size and had zero complaints. The owner reached out to me regarding my previous negative experiences and wasn't very happy about them. But I have my opinion and I’m always going to voice it. Now, I can see the improvements that have been made, and I will definitely be back for more!
