My guy and I were hoping for a better experience based on some of the reviews but found the sushi just ok. Fish all tasted fresh enough, though as is common elsewhere, they use tuna paste instead of whole fish as filler in many of their rolls. I will go back for the spicy scallop roll (yum as well as to try a few simple, non-specialty rolls but won't be our go-to sushi spot. View all feedback.
Best place in tucson for always heodupbap (Korea style poke bowl with gochujang sauce.)
I have tried almost every sushi place in tucson, and kampai is the best! it is better than any place in phx! love the laughs. fish is always fresh!
I've tried almost every sushi place in Tucson, and Kampai is the BEST! It's better than any place in Phx, too! Love the salmon handrolls. Fish is always fresh!
Probably the best sushi in Tucson. The service is going to be very matter-of-fact. Here is your food and here are you drinks... but nothing as far as conversation or anything. Really fresh seafood and really good service as far as efficiency. You are not going to be entertained but you will have a great meal.
Absolutely the best sushi on Northwest side of town. The roll selection is large, with many interesting rolls, and the prices vary anywhere between $6.95-12.95 per roll! Try to beat that. My favorite is Playboy roll. Also, place is always clean and there's always table available.
