Then we order Ribeye Steak's medium and we get VERY RARE Steak and the server tries to take the unleashed steak and so she can throw it back on the grill, which is a health code injury! I couldn't believe it. Of course, the excuse was Oh that you came in a busy night when I should come to get good service? Unacceptable! Manager was apologetic and I almost believed him until he said we were muddled and you came in a busy night! We finally burned our fresh steaks and yup to a crack, I guess they don't know what a medium-cooked steak is? I highly recommend going to another steak house like silver saddle or cattle town. Don't come here!
Take your table for a while. Do not overload the appetizers, because the main dishes are quite large. It'll be worth waiting.
Great menu and reasonable prices for quality and quantity of food. It's nice that we've chosen to share a record that was worth the extra costs. Steaks are grilled outside over a wood fire. From a series of tables in the Red Room. Service staff very friendly and attentive. Allow extra time to prepare your meal. The presentation and aromas were worth waiting. Very unique atmosphere.
We went before dinner because we had a concert to come. Not busy and we were immediately welcomed and set. The staff was friendly and polite. Waitress approached our beverage order. We ordered dinners when drinks are delivered. Salad quickly came out(tasty). When the Entrees were delivered, we asked if we needed something else, we were good. After that, it seemed as if the waitress had disappeared, never came back to check us out. Needed a bus person to order more beer to go container and order dessert. The restaurant was not busy! Hubby ordered Ribeye, I ordered the fillet. Ribeye was delicious, the fillet was okay. The beans were delicious and the baked potatoes were perfect. I didn't like salsa. Spicy but lacked taste. The beers were nice and cold. The vanilla ice cream was delicious. We took apple cake (deficient taste and weak crust) and turtle cheese cake (actually good) at home. It was a beautiful place and a good meal. Everything was not perfect, but we will return. If I could give you a 4.5, I would.
My husband and I ate here last night for the first time. We had dinner with another couple who have enjoyed other meals here and especially like the ribs. We all ordered rib dinners. As far as the food goes, the ribs were the positive part of the meal the meat was tender and fell off the bone. Since they are prepared on a Mesquite grill I was surprised they did not have a smoky flavor. Only one type of BBQ sauce was provided and I found it to be fairly bland. The meal came with a salad, baked potatoes, beans and bread. The salad was terrible a very small amount of old, brown, wilted lettuce one of the worst salads I have had in awhile. I ate a few bites and then gave up. The sour cream, butter substance and green onions for the potatoes were ?slopped? together in a small salad bowl for the four of us to pass around and share. The bowl was messy and this was awkward. The beans seemed fairly good but they came barely warm and the bowl we were supposed to all share was very small. Our wait staff did say that we could have more refills of the sides if we wanted but it would be nice to start with enough for everyone. Our friend ordered hot tea and it came in a regular glass rather than a cup with a handle. The waiter who brought it didn?t seem to think this was unusual. She was unable to hold a very hot glass and we had to get someone to bring a cup for her and transfer the liquid. For the most part though the wait staff was pleasant. The restaurant building itself is worn and tired looking. The tables are old, the chairs are frayed and my chair rocked back and forth every time I moved forward to eat. Our dining companion also complained about his chair. The bathroom was an unpleasant experience. I could barely get into the stall and close the door and I am not a big woman, fairly trim. The lighting was also quite dim, so hard to see what I was doing. When I mentioned to the hostess that the bathroom stall was a tight squeeze, she remarked unconcerned that yes, it was too narrow for her too and that the building was old. This was a disappointing first dining experience here. Prices are entirely too high and the food average at best to try this place again. The restaurant appeared to have little interest in providing a worthwhile and pleasant dinner out. We won?t be back.
