I absolutely love Cheba Hut! Without a doubt, it offers the best food and service in town. I've been saying this for many years, and anyone I've brought here who has never tried it before ends up getting hooked as well.
This place is incredible! I'm honestly upset that I didn't discover it sooner; I could have been enjoying it for years! As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised by how well they accommodated my dietary needs without sacrificing any flavor or deliciousness. The hummus is absolutely fantastic!
The food was excellent, and the staff were all friendly and approachable. I highly recommend trying the White Widow!
This was the best Sandwich I have ever had l mean the taste was on point perfect I will be back again and again
The first installment of Thirsty Third Thursdays was GREAT! Wish there were more people but now that people know it's going down, hopefully the turnout will be better. And that Grape Ape sandwich needs to be a permanent thing. That sandwich was ON POINT!!! Such a wonderful flavor profile! Just the right amount of sweetness with the jelly and the bbq sauce with the heat from the jalapeño cream cheese was awesome!! And the Sriracha asiago bread was heavenly!!
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag at the New Cheba Hut** Cheba Hut has relocated, bringing both nostalgia and anticipation. Fans of the old spot find themselves divided; some celebrate the new atmosphere, spaciousness, and bar offerings, while others miss the previous charm. Many praise standout sandwiches like the Magic Mushroom and Grape Ape, with flavors that tantalize the taste buds. However, service inconsistencies linger, with a few customers citing rude staff experiences overshadowing their visits. Despite these issues, the restaurant remains a popular hangout for locals, offering a lively environment that is likely to improve as word spreads. Overall, Cheba Hut captures the essence of a casual dining experience.

I was worried the place was going to be filled with lots of high folk doing high folk things, but it wasn't, it was just like a normal restaurant which I appreciated. Subs were awesome and competitive in pricing to the sub chains. Very busy and difficult to find seating student groups seem to make it their event hangout and they come in masses. Maybe better at other times but no luck for me.
Cheba Hut is a must-visit for anyone at the University of Arizona! Every student should try this gourmet sandwich shop. Everything on the menu is delightful, and their nachos are exceptionally creative. The atmosphere is enjoyable, and the cannabis-themed humor throughout the menus, decor, and overall vibe is clever without being over-the-top, making it suitable for adults of all ages. It's also one of the few places near campus that has stood the test of time.
Love the new place! eating was amazing as always personal very friendly. stop the good workers!
I tried their magic mushroom sandwich, and I was absolutely amazed. Among all the sandwich spots I've visited, this one has earned the top spot as my favorite. They also offer beer, which makes it even better—who wouldn't love that? Honestly, I give it a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend checking it out. I would have loved to share a picture of my sandwich, but I devoured it so quickly that I didn't have time! If you visit, skip takeout and sit down to fully enjoy the experience.
This restaurant is another gem in Tucson! I recently visited their new location in January and have returned at least once a week! My favorite part is the new bar—they make an incredible Bloody Mary and have many other delicious drinks on the menu. I also highly recommend the Bretzel-Nugs. The staff is fantastic and the service is great!

I enjoyed their old location several times in the past and I looked forward to visiting this new location. The corner needs good places to eat. The new location is just uninspired humdrum. After waiting too long in a short line to place an order, thesandwich was only average. The place felt more like an institution cafeteria. Something is missing here. I've enjoyed burritosat the taco place at Campbell and Speedway a lot more. 2.5 stars would be a more accurate rating. Since visiting here a whileback, I've had no desire to return. I may try to give them another chance, but I'm really not keen on the idea.
The food is always wonderful but our last visit was such an unpleasant experience. Juan F took our order and never asked us what kind of bread we wanted and he rushed us through the ordering process. There was no one in line behind us and we were nottreated respectfully. He had AirPods in, wouldn?t make eye contact and was so rude and disrespectful. I left a tip on my cardwhich was optional but I still decided against my better judgement and gave them one anyways. When another man brought us ourfood he threw the plates down and wouldn?t answer my question regarding what sandwich he put in front of me, ignored me andwalked off. Michael was his name. Everyone else was very kind.
My coworker took me to Cheba Hut Toasted Subs yesterday, and I had heard a lot of buzz about it. I initially thought it was just a place for stoned kids and their sandwiches. I ordered the White Widow, and it was absolutely amazing! I don’t smoke weed, but if this is what potheads create for food, then every restaurant should have some stoned people in the kitchen. I was seriously blown away by their sandwiches. I can’t wait to go back!
I tried the magic mushroom sandwich at Cheba Hut Toasted Subs, and I was completely impressed. Out of all the sandwich spots, they’ve secured the top position as my favorite. Plus, they serve beer too—what's not to love? I wholeheartedly recommend checking this place out; it’s a solid 10/10. I would have loved to share a picture of my sandwich, but I devoured it too quickly! Make sure you dine in to fully enjoy the experience rather than opting for takeout. Don't miss exploring their menu!
I worked at Cheba Hut Toasted Subs over ten years ago when the owners were just getting the place established (at the old location). The owner and his family were fantastic people. The sandwiches were incredible; I'm craving one now, but I'm in a different state! The menu is still one of the best around.
