Catalina Barbeque Co. Sports - Tucson

My family and I have visited this restaurant twice now because my brother is a member of the Starr Pass faculty. Each time we have been, it has been fantastic. The menu is limited but all of us have enjoyed the items available. The only issue I had was with the salad I ordered with butternut squash. It was tasty but overdressed and difficult to finish. During our second visit, I tried the BBQ plate with beef burnt tips and found it to be amazing. However, I wish I had known it would come already tossed in sauce as I would have preferred to adjust the amount to my liking. Despite my small complaints about my meals, my family always enjoys everything from the appetizers to the desserts. The outdoor patio provides a nice view of the golf course and surrounding mountains, as long as it's not too hot. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed excellent specials for the 4th of July at this restaurant. We had the place almost to ourselves, allowing us to leisurely explore some new and seasonal menu items. The service was quick and friendly, just as we expected.

We typically visit this restaurant when we have a staycation at a nearby resort. The service was exceptional. However, the food remained consistent. We decided to try the three-meat combination of pork belly, brisket, and burnt ends. I was disappointed because I had enjoyed a good meal there previously. The crispy fried cauliflower was tasty though. The server we had was very helpful and went out of their way to compensate for any mistakes made by the kitchen.

Delicious Mac and cheese. Food can be a little flavorful for some people. Good service. Go here for a sit down restaurant that's faster. There's not too many people here so it's a nice quiet place. You can watch people golf or watch a beautiful sunset.

We had lunch here twice during our stay at the Star Pass Golf Suites, and the location was convenient and walkable for us. We sat out on the patio overlooking the course and enjoyed the Catalina BBQ salad once with chicken, and another time with their pulled pork. Both times it was tasty definitely recommend! With re opening they did not have chips and salsa : huge miss on the menu for sure, and hope they bring it back. They were only open until 6, so we did not dine here for dinner, or any other meals, but our drinks were good just ordered standard G&T. Next time we're in Tucson, if we stay out here, we'll definitely wander in.
