What Sarah L dislikes about Bear Down Kitchen:
The food is delicious and healthy, with a fantastic buffet style that's perfect for fueling study sessions at the library, especially during midterms and finals. There are plenty of great options for carbs, fats, and proteins. However, I’m giving this place one star because of the poor customer service. The cashier consistently ignores me, doesn’t engage in friendly conversation, and pretends to look away when I leav... View all feedback.

Yes i know its 2022 but come on man,..you need to accept cash. That blew my whole day right out of the water. "we dont accept cash "That 's ridiculous
I absolutely enjoyed their dishes and service, excellent area close to where I live. The employees are always very friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Definitely a spot worth visiting, the food is great and well prepared, the costs are reasonable and it is regularly well kept in here. Great work.
I made my way to the egg cook station, but there was no line since it was just 30 minutes before closing. Perfect timing, right? However, as I turned around to grab a tray, a whole basketball team appeared in line, followed by the women’s volleyball team. It felt like it happened in just a few seconds! I realized I wasn't about to wait forever for just four eggs, especially not for $13. Seriously? I promptly went back to the register with my empty tray, got my money refunded, and left. I was looking at a potential two-hour wait for four eggs! That's ridiculous. If I hadn't gotten my money back, I would have still been there when the restaurant closed. The solution is simple: hire an egg cook who can handle two orders at once. They're easy to find. Honestly, it felt like the whole operation, from my first interaction to the last, resembled an amateur student-run project that started off well but has since fallen apart. It seems like no one is paying attention to what’s happening, and I assume they'll blame it on COVID-19. That's understandable to some extent, but given this school's budget, you'd think they would address any issues like this immediately, especially with the public there to observe how things are managed. Overall, I was not impressed and won't be returning.

The cashier consistently ignores me, doesn’t engage in friendly conversation, and pretends to look away when I leave to avoid saying goodbye. At times, she even stares at me while I eat in a somewhat unsettling way. Interestingly, she only greets and chats with the fraternity guys who come in.
