Old Hickory House - Tucker

This restaurant is a must when in Atlanta! We grew up a week in the Dunwoody Location! Chicken and Gravy! Cut a cookie and slide the chicken in and above with some of their famous BBQ sauce! Trust me, we're going south for over an hour now!

This place is as authentic as possible. I love eating breakfast here and at weekends they serve until 2:00 for people who like to sleep on weekends. The waiting staff are all super nice older ladies. I'm out of a small town and going to this place makes me feel like I've been transported home. There's no place like Atlanta. The food is also excellent and super cheap. My whole family loves it.

My husband Brad found this Best EVER Southern Hickory BBQ place when we recently moved to Atlanta. The #HickoryWood open pit was “Grandfathered “in , so the Mouthwatering #Ribs etc! her steaks r Delicious! Pages like #BroccoliCheese Casserole is dying! The staff is INCREDIBLE, especially Terri, Rock MANAGER Greg. We recommend all!

I've eaten in the old Hickory house since I was 12 years old on Piedmont Rd. (1956). It is the place where I can compare all other BBQ restaurants. I still eat there that it is a 70-mile journey to do this.

Love the stew and chopped pork!moved to Memphis for 25 years, now back home and this place is my favorite!!
