Wong's Garden - Truckee

My family and I are from Washington State to Vancouver. We spent the day in Kings Beach any activity you can think of. So we stared to say at least in time how we are here. My children loved eating. They literally ate almost everything away, but roasted rice and about 4-5 bites of each dish we had. I placed everything to go with us. It was nice to eat in a restaurant without inflated prices because we? re tourist. We could treat our children for a decent dinner for a fair price. When in the area we come back. Only negative is seat. Sitting is very outdated, one it was very hard for my 6?9 1/2 man and 6?5 teenage son comfortable sitting. Otherwise we enjoyed and the employees were all so nice and thoughtful.

Good food, good price. Due to pandemic food is all served in to go containers with plastic utensils but you can eat in.

Eating out of styrofoam was weird. No glasses or hot tea. Chow fun was like a microwave dish. Pass. Empty dirty aquarium.

Cut the menu, buy fresh produce and meat. The entire Bay Area has moved to Truckee and they have to spend. (I am a local for 25 years and Wongs use to be decent) I want you to do well. Find a chef that has passion for Chinese food! You have no competition for takeout! Do better.

It's ok. Nothing was bad the place was clean. But food lacked anything amazing. Exactly what you expect of Americanized Chinese food. Given the more authentic style sushi, and Thai restaurants nearby and in California. They would do much better if they served some real Chinese food. So not amazing but not bad either.
