I am always skeptical when I am taken to Mexican restaurants in ?touristy? areas. This place was different? From the salsa (fair warning, delicious but unexpected bite), to food, service, and margaritas were all grade A. I've been here in the past and have had nothing but good experiences. However, when I went the other day service was awful. I understand they're likely short staffed and they were busy, but there's no reason that we should have to go out of our way to ask to get water glasses, to look at a menu, and then call someone over to order. Amazing Chile relleno, and the service was great. Also pleasantly surprised by the low costs compared to other places. Fun atmosphere in the terrace, and Mike is a super friendly host. I recommend this place!
Yummmmm the shredded beef they have here is SO GOOD. I had the super burrito which was GIGANTIC so be ready to be super full or ready for a 2nd meal later. The staff here are fantastic and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I definitely recommend this spot!
Excellent facility! The bartender Mike Trini is also the owner. It is worth saying hello. He's a riot. I made great food suggestions. Loved the Al Pastor taco, the shrimps a la Martin, and the crab enchilada. Margaritas are very strong and made with fresh lime juice! Be warned. This is a No Frill's kind of space. They'll come to you when they can come to you. Either it's worth it.
Great food, great waiting staff, great drinks! The outdoor terrace was a beautiful place to enjoy the weather and the surroundings!
We've been here for over 20 years. It was always a family tradition when we come to the town of Tahoe to stay. Martina was our waiter forever. The food is great and always love the fried bananas.. It is a classic place and a clamp in Truckee.
