Baila Pizza - Troyes

Second visit here whilst staying at Kyriad next door. Kids asked to come back! Spotlessly clean and very efficient and attentive staff. Excellent food all cooked fresh, and quickly, to order. Empty plates all round which is something when you have a fussy 14 year old and an 11 year old with a minute appetite. Really nice, clean welcoming restaurant just out of town so not paying premium prices. Would definitely recommend this place for families or couples.

Three courses meal on two occasions. Service a little on the slow side but OK once they started using actually serving. I am not sure they have a party of 30 plus very often. Enjoyed the food other than on both nights when the sweet course would have benefited being left a tad longer to fully defrost.

I had a steak which was a mass of veins, fat and gristle. I complained and the owner just shrugged his shoulders. AVOID!

Went here because very convenient near hotel. Lovely weather, we could sit outside. Relaxed atmosphere. Quick service. The pizza was absolutely excellent, the pasta could have used a bit pepper. Price good enough for another try.

We wanted to enjoy a pizza in our hotel room. having read very different opinions we wanted to make our own opinion. We didn't regret, we took a Sicilian and a flamekueche. a delica, the dough is very fine, not eccentric, the flame of cooking with wood fire comes to lick the edges coming to blacken and make the crust crunchy, what taste! the other ingredients are good (not too fat, delicious chorizo, a small flat on the merguez that was not at our taste). the choice in the desserts to empoter are very limited: either muffin shocko or brownie. You have to love the chocolate, otherwise it's badly fucked. short as we like, it didn't pose a problem, they're not up to pizzas, we've preferred brownie with muffin put any more, after so good pizzas we had no more very hungry. Anyway, if I go back to troyes in the future, I'll gladly return to order.
