If this is an effort to... read more Firstly, the front windows were wide open without screens, allowing flies, traffic noise, and vehicle exhaust to invade the dining area. If this is an effort to reduce HVAC costs, it backfired, as I was bothered by flies throughout my meal. Secondly, our table was covered in crumbs, and the sticky floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in ages. To make matters worse, the ladies' restroom had a sliding door left ajar, which is completely inappropriate. There was also no toilet paper available. Clearly, the staff were not attentive to even closing the door that a customer left open, nor were they checking bathroom supplies. The food prices were outrageous. None of the ingredients appeared to be sourced from local producers; it seemed like everything came off a truck, and the quality matched that expectation. Disgusting. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and a spinach/artichoke dip starter. The starter ($9) tasted like it came straight from a jar and was heated in the microwave. The chips were stale, bottom-of-the-bag tri-colored tortilla chips, and there was literally half a portion missing from the platter. It seemed like the prep cook just grabbed a handful from the bottom of the bag. The grilled chicken salad ($12) was served in a heated bowl, which made it clear that the chicken had been microwaved, and the greens were tossed in the same bowl afterward. Having worked in various restaurants, both casual and upscale, I recognized that the salad mix was primarily iceberg lettuce with just a few leaves of romaine and spinach to label it as a blend. As for the chicken, it was a frozen patty, diced and reheated, resulting in spongy, tasteless meat. I genuinely cannot justify how a salad could cost $12. For dessert, I chose a limoncello cake ($5), which also tasted like it came from a truck or Sam's Club. It had no limoncello flavor and absorbed the unpleasant tastes of whatever else had been stored near it. Disgusting. My son ordered a cheeseburger ($9) that came with potato chips (not the British version of chips) and a pickle spear. He also ordered curly fries ($4) as an appetizer, which were served in a small salad bowl—a meager portion indeed. For dessert, he opted for a salted caramel brownie ($5), measuring only 2.75 inches by 2.75 inches. It clearly wasn’t homemade, and if it was, the maker should probably consider a different profession. He also ordered a cup of coffee ($2.25) that seemed to have been sitting in the carafe since Easter. It was terrible; the spoon nearly stood upright in the mug. With a 15% tip, our total bill for lunch for two came to an eyebrow-raising $58.81—over half of one hundred dollars. This was in Troy, PA, an area surrounded by excellent sources of beef, chicken, pork, and produce. Surely, it would be more cost-effective to buy locally for the benefit of the community. Even lettuce could be sourced from nearby hydroponic suppliers! It constantly amazes me that restaurants continue to buy subpar food and charge exorbitant prices for it. This processed stuff doesn’t even qualify as real food, and I will never return to Building 9 for any reason.

The prices and food were incredible! And the service—our waitress was simply unforgettable. I've never met anyone so kind and patient in my life! To the amazing waitress who, unfortunately, I can't remember your name, but who served us last Saturday (July 6, around 8 PM) and went upstairs not just once, but twice, to get the shirt sizes we needed, you truly are an angel. You made our first visit to Building No. 9 the best dining experience ever, and you inspired me to be a better person by showing my mom such kindness and support. The world could really use more people like you to look up to!
