We had a warm welcome, but since we couldn't speak French, the waiter just disappered without pouring our wine or taking drink orders from everyone. The next waiter was very helpful, but probably had to much other tables to wait on. We all had moulle frites, with a delicious creamy sauce. Unfortunatly some were a little undercooked, and small, so they were difficult to open and eat. The athmosphere was great.
Perfect to eat a posh meal for a reasonable rate. They have an gorgeous carte des vins and a great view. The boss is just amazing and clearly enjoy his job and people. Some music animation are organised and you can end up dressed up if you find the secret box !Enjoy!
Hard to find a bad place to eat in France's little towns, but I'd like to share my experience at this restaurant:First night I tried foie gras and salmon canelloni; light and exquisite. White Bordeaux wine Entre Deux Meres helped!Second night, awesome foie gras (yes, again!) and tuna tataki. White Chablis to make it complete.Waiters make you feel comfortable and welcome.
We popped in for a drink and felt like we were in the way. No smile or welcome. Staff preoccupied and we felt like an inconvenience. Offered a table outside, which was cold and damp. So we stayed at the bar, but left as quickly as possible.
