We stopped here for a dinner with friends, it took them 3 hours to serve us antipasti and mains. The restaurant was half empty and the wait was not justified in any other form. Antipasti were ok-ish , but mains were very salty and oily and we left most of them on the table.

The best seafood I've had in Italy. And the oceanviews are some of the greatest. Great staff and southern Italian hospitality is some of the friendliest you'll find

My partner and I came to eat dinner recently (October 2019). No one was there that could be due to the end of the season. We sat there anyway as we were running late for sunset and this place was facing the spot. My partner had pizza it was average thick bready pizza but just about eatable. I really fancied the typical dish from Calammbria which is called Ravioli con scampi e pistachio. This is supposed to be a local dish ravioli pasta with scampi and pistachio sauce. As the restaurant described itself specialising in seafood, pasta and pizza we thought it would be ok. They did not have the dish on the menu but something similar. I initially did not want to change the dish so was going to order something else but the waiter looked like the owner to me (with his attitude) said they will make it for me. I was nicely surprised. Baring in mind this was the top of the cost dish. We did not have any white cloth on the tables as on some of the photos from the earlier reviews. When the dish came some ravioli was not even cooked properly. It also did not taste of scampi. I suppose he just served us the fish ravioli which was on the menu. Why do I think that? Because the dish came miraculously quickly about 5 7 minutes since we ordered. We ate what we could have a drink with the sunset and decided to leave as we were not in a mood to argue. We were charged €2 each for coperto but got no bread, salt or black pepper or olive oil. Additionally, he charged me more for my dish. I questioned it as it would be at least polite to tell me that the dish will cost extra. After I questioned him he gave us a really bad look and we just thought not worth to argue with this BIG guy and we left. I would never go back! The food was terrible, we were overcharged and treated as if we were in a wrong.

We stopped by this little restaurant for lunch and it was amazing! The pasta was absolutely delicious – real Calabrian pasta. The pizza was also very tasty. The staff were very nice and friendly, which made our meal even better. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it!

We stumbled upon this little restaurant by chance. We were tired and hungry after a long journey, our first time in Tropea, and we didn't have time to get our bearings. I, too, give a lot of weight to reviews, but sometimes, despite negative opinions, I like to try something. In this case, I read them while waiting for our food. I'm quite picky about food; it doesn't matter if it's a Michelin-starred restaurant or not, as long as it's fresh and well-packaged. There were two of us, and we immediately felt at home. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean, and the staff was friendly. We were served professionally and in a reasonable amount of time. There were several tables occupied, but it wasn't crowded (this is early September). In about ten minutes, we had a lovely plate of seafood linguine in front of us, cooked just al dente, with a flavorful sauce, generously topped with clams, mussels, shrimp, octopus, and baby cuttlefish. The paccheri with eggplant and swordfish sauce was also very good, and the fish was fresh. We browsed other people's dishes and I must say they looked great; I saw only satisfied customers. In my experience, the prices are fair. We'll definitely be back...and we'll confirm what we said before!
