Down a tiny street but just steps from the main pedestrian road. A few tables out front and seating for about a dozen people inside. Menu board handwritten in both Italian and English. At least one staff member speaks pretty good English. Prices are very reasonable. Fresh made Calabrian foods so very fresh made before your eyes in the open kitchen. There might be news or the soccer game on the TV. You will be sitting with locals. But you are made to feel very welcome, and it is a truly delightful experience. The spaghetti carbonara is so very good!

Not only w... read more Stumbled into this gem of a restaurant while passing through Tropea from Sicily. Best food we’ve had in Italy in the couple of weeks we’ve been here! Not only was the food amazing, but the service was incredible. Stayed late with the owner/chef and were treated phenomenally. We loved the food so much we all ordered second entrees and 3 desserts! Watched futbol and drank grappa with the sweet man running the place. 100/10 recommend

We don 't regret going there. The food is amazing. Above all, it 's homely. A family atmosphere. The owner, Mimmo, is incredibly friendly. The best fileja e 'nduja in all of Tropea. I 've never had it as good as this one. My wife also enjoyed the seafood pasta. If you want to experience the flavor and feel of southern Italy, I highly recommend this place.
