What Inna Schröder doesn't like about Wein- und Tafelhaus:
Ich kann dieses vom guide Michelin mit 1Stern bewertetes Restaurant nicht weiter empfehlen.Dies aus 2 Gründen:-teilweise unfreundlicher service.Mir wurde noch nie ein Teller ohne"bitte schön oder "guten Appetit"vorgesetzt!-Die Speisen waren in Ordnung ,es waren jedoch keine grossen "Kochkünste "erforderlich , um diese zuzubereiten.Desweiteren war ziemlich alles phantasielos angerichtet. I had a great meal, even if not surprising. everything was good, especially the first cure, on a kind of gerste with truffels. sauces were excellent, dessert a little dry. weinbegleitung was good, in the value of 49 eur. service very attentive, running. by the woman of the chef, in a night occupied with all the tables. but overall one lets the feeling that this place has a little, a little,! affects its success, since 18 or more years. the printed wine list, for example, not well maintained, like the menu cards. I listened to tabs near me serving her main course as rehearsals (doe,) as what the menu said, brain calf (young buck.) and the menu as such: only the 7/6/5/4 cure menu, but no a la carte supplement (I am sure that they can fix a vegetarian option if asked to be a gastrench.)
Beautifully set with a view on the Mosel vineyards, this restaurant surprised us with wonderful dishes and wines. The five courses got better and better with the monkfish, venison and German cheeses as the best courses..Interesting wines, friendly and relaxed service. Not cheap but worth...the money.
This great restaurant boasting one well earned Michelin Star if not two is worth a detour, pair it with a stay in the lovely hotel and then pair your delicious multi course dinner with great wine and only navigate a flight of stairs rather than...the curves on Mosel roads. A la carte and a choice of several multi course dinners well curated wine list with a big choice of local growers. Expect to pay around €100 per person for a decadent unforgettable meal. Lovely service and surroundings, don't miss it.
Modern kitchen, friendly head waiteress but to some extent a formal athmosphere. Greetings from the kitchen made our expectations sky high, but unfortunately only parts of the meal was up to standard. By our opinion the shellfish was overcooked, and the tomato jus with more...than a hint of chili overpowered the subtile taste of the vongole and the scallop st jaques. But the winter cod (skrei) was exellent. And the dessert was a grand finale taste, texture, presentation oh my god so delicious!
Came in a few months ago during our tour of Europe and had a wonderful time being served by Frau Hoffman, great sense of humour, easy going yet professional. A great experience always starts and ends with great service and feeling like you've come a...stranger and left as a friend. The dishes were delicious albeit a little basic for Michelin Star. Some dishes, like the entrees were very meat and potatoes at a Michelin star level. But all in all it was a memorable experience.
